Assured Shorthold Tenancies

We offer prepared tenancy agreements to an extensive list of quality status checked clients, along with the preparation of all necessary paperwork and services required to meet your legal obligations.

There is no minimum time period for an Assured Shorthold Tenancy, although the landlord cannot obtain a court order for possession of the property within the first six months of tenancy. For this reason we usually recommend that the tenancy agreement is for six months, this binds both the landlord and tenant to this period of time. Please note that an Assured Shorthold Tenancy cannot be granted where the landlord is present on the premises.

Inventory

When a new tenancy begins, a record is made of the contents and condition of the property. This record is the inventory and because it becomes a binding legal agreement when it is signed by both Landlords (or their Agent) and tenant, it is essential that it is accurate and thorough.
